The bizarre title is a play on the german word 'jazzig' meaning jazzy. As guitarist Philipp van Endert helpfully pointed out "... it's jazz, but it's sick!"

Rob was commissioned by the author of Studio Brass, Colin Holdom, to arrange and record backing tracks for these method books. There are 3 accompanying CDs in all featuring jazz/latin backings. The method books were meticulously developed and refined over many years by Colin as a result of his vast teaching experience of brass instruments.

This is the 2nd CD release by the well-known Gaelic singer Anne Martin in partnership with multi-instrumentalist Ingrid Henderson (clarsach, piano etc.). Recorded in Ireland at producer Colum Sands' studio, (Colum is a well respected singer, songwriter and broadcaster) the CD also features Rob on saxes, James MacIntosh (perc), Iain MacFarlane (fiddle/viola) and Mary Smith/William MacDonald (vocals).

This beautifully conceived disc contains material by Philipp, Makoto Ozone, Bret Willmott, reworkings of standards and a great new arrangement by Rob of Bill Evan's 'Interplay'.
